Five Future Spartans Will Play in East-West Game

For Michigan State football fans, Saturday's Michigan East-West All Star Football Game provides a perfect opportunity to get an early glimpse of almost one-quarter of this year's incoming freshman class.

In most years, fans can expect to see two or three incoming freshmen. But this year, a total of five incoming Spartans will be suiting up for either the East or West team.

This year's game is set to kickoff Saturday at 2 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.

Three of future Spartans will be playing for the West team while two of the new Spartans will be lining up for the East. All-American wide receiver Mark Dell of Farmington Hills Harrison is a member of the East team as is athlete Chris Rucker of Detroit Country Day.

The West team features running back Ashton Leggett of Muskegon along with defensive linemen Ryan Wheat of Flint Carman-Ainsworth and Kevin Pickleman of Marshall.
