Dowtin reflects on Michigan camp week

Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy linebacker Marcus Dowtin holds dozens of scholarship offers, yet he is spending his summer touring college camps that most prospects use to earn offers. Last week he spent the entire week at Michigan's camp. He had one impression of the university coming, and another by the time he left.

The 6-2, 215-pound Dowtin camped with Georgia last weekend before heading out to Michigan for their full camp June 17-21. Coming off that visit, he was glad he took the opportunity to camp there.

Dowtin worked the entire week with Michigan linebackers coach Steve Szabo and got to see first-hand what type of coach he was and whether their personalities meshed.
