Darius Banks has put up huge numbers
Fifty-one touchdown passes and over four thousand yards passing. For some high school quarterbacks, those statistics would make for a nice career. For Darius Banks, those numbers sum up his junior season as the signal caller for Culver City High School (Los Angeles, Calif.), where he led the state of California in passing (4,115 yards) and was third in the nation.
As Banks prepares to enter his senior year, his third season as starting quarterback at Culver City, he will do so as one of the hottest recruits in the country.
Culver City head coach Tom Salter knows he has been blessed with a great player and a strong leader in Banks. "Darius is one of the best I've ever coached. He's a great quarterback. He has great accuracy and a really strong arm. He can make the touch pass or throw it deep," says Salter. "I think what really separates him from others is that he is just very accurate."
