Braswell holding fort in development and studies
June 6, 2007 - Power forward Chris Braswell, a Georgetown commitment for the class of 2007, has been hard at work this spring and early summer, both on and off the floor.
He's showing the toughness and commitment necessary to not only excel at G'town, but also in life.
As a junior at DeMatha Catholic High School (Hyattsville, MD), Braswell had a challenging, uneven school year and season, playing in less than 10 games due to an injury to his left knee and academic concerns.
As a result, the spring and early summer have been about regaining his physical conditioning and playing instincts.
"For a couple of months, I've been rehabbing my knee," Braswell said. at May's Southern Invitational in Charlottesville. "I've been going to the Sports and Learning Complex (Landover, MD) and the Gold's Gym down in Waldorf(MD). And I'm waiting for the pool to open (in Waldorf)."
Working out at these facilities allows Chris not only to strengthen his knee, but also improve his overall fitness.
