Spring Spotlight - Christian Robinson

UGASports.com will be on the road Monday through Friday throughout the month of May. We will be visiting school after school to see some of the top prospects in the country go through spring practice. We will run the Spring Spotlight feature daily into June showing exclusive practice video, up close photos, and notes from practice. The prospect featured today is future Bulldog Christian Robinson.

Prospect: Christian Robinson

High School: Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, Ga.)

Class: 2008

Position: Linebacker

Vitals: 6-3, 205-pounds, 4.5

Offers: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, South Carolina and others.

Favorites: Committed to Georgia

The Skinny in Recruiting: Robinson started picking up offers early in 2007 and they really picked up as the evaluation period begun. Georgia offered him early in the spring while he was in Africa on a mission trip and that is the offer he took. He gave the Dawgs his verbal commitment last week and chose to stay close to home. He called 13 other schools to let them know of his decision after informing Georgia he wanted to be a Dawg. Robinson is solid to UGA and very happy with his decision.

UGASports.com traveled over to GAC to put an eye on Robinson during spring practice and he spent more time on offense than he did defense. He starts at tight end and linebacker for Coach Jimmy Chupp, but will play only linebacker in Athens.
