2009 safety has family ties to A&M

When Texas A&M picked up one of it's earliest commitments in the class of 2008, it gave the Aggies an immediate "in" with one of the state's top players in the 2009 class.

Derrick Hall, a 5-foot-10, 201 pound do-it-all athlete out of Beaumont Central High School committed to A&M in early February. He became the second player in as many years from Central to pledge commitments to the Aggies. Class of 2007 athlete and Central alum Brandon Williams signed a letter-of-intent earlier this year.

Well, it seems like Central has the potential to become an Aggie pipeline. Not only do the Jaguars possess one of the top safety prospects in the Lone Star State in 2009, but he just happens to be Hall's younger brother.

Charlie Thomas is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound hard-hitting defender who also happens to be blessed with sprinter's speed.
