Irish find way to Williams
The first year Loren Johnson led the Stonewall Jackson program, just one college coach stopped by on a recruiting visit. These days the Manassas, Va., school has turned into a regular destination for college football's biggest names.
Such is the effect of having Ryan Williams on the roster. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound running back holds more than two dozen offers and has seen Charlie Weis, Urban Meyer and Frank Beamer already stream through his high school hallways. While the constant attention could overwhelm some prospects and coaches, Johnson is happy for the distraction.
"It's never crazy, it's just fun," he said.
