Hanson impressed with northern visit

This past weekend, Charlotte (N.C.) Latin quarterback Braden Hanson (6-foot-6, 200 pounds) traveled to Madison, Wis., for an unofficial visit to see the Wisconsin Badgers' program first-hand. During the trip, Hanson spent a lot of time with his primary recruiter, UW offensive coordinator Paul Chryst, while taking in the program, school and city on a beautiful spring weekend.

Hanson: So Friday, the 27th, me and my family flew up to Wisconsin to get in. I think we got in around like four or five o'clock. And then my uncle picked us up from the Chicago airport and drove us to Madison and we checked into the hotel. And then we got a chance to sit down with Coach Chryst, it was kind of in the football offices, and we just kind of talked for a long time, maybe for an hour or two just to get to know each other because I never had met Coach Chryst. I've talked to him but it's been limited to texting and stuff like that, so he was a great guy and it was a good chance to know him and I learned more about Wisconsin, we talked about a number of different things.

And then on Saturday we got up pretty early and went out and they were having some sort of marathon run (Crazy Legs), I think, it was some charity run they were doing and (head) coach (Bret) Bielema was doing that. And me and Coach Chryst walked down and we kind of walked around.
