Spring game under wraps

Stanford's spring game is complete and it marks the end of a month that saw the Cardinal make significant progress on the field. Stanford is a much better football team than it was a month ago and that was obvious on Saturday.

The defense stood out in the scrimmage, despite the fact that the offense scored four touchdowns. With seven sacks and two interceptions, Jim Harbaugh was very happy with what he saw from the defense.

"I was pleased with the way we played defense today," said Jim Harbaugh. "It wasn't our best day offensively."
