Robinson left Athens as top LB

The NIKE Staff named Georgia linebacker Christian Robinson tops at his position in Athens last Saturday. Robinson went out and showed his agility, speed, his ability to cover, and just how he has progressed over the past year. It showed why recruiting was really heating up for him and we caught up with him recently to see what he thought about his performance, where he was at in recruiting, and much more.

"I was just out there running around and working around some great players and I think any of them could have gotten the top linebacker award," said a humble Robinson. "To get the award is great and I am very thankful the work that I have been doing helped me out there. My dad has really helped me a lot."

This 6-foot-3, 203-pound linebacker is a student of the game and he is always looking to get better. He learned a lot at the NIKE Camp and he plans to use that at GAC.

"I am going to take everything I learned out there back to the younger guys at GAC. They really want you to finish the drill and I think that is a great thing. Even if you get burned on a route, then chase them down and don't give up. I think finishing the drill was the biggest thing I learned at the camp."

Robinson earned the top linebacker award and he talks about his performance here.

"I would give myself a high B because at times I think I could have done better," he said. "I didn't stay low enough in some drills and I know I could have, so I need to work harder on it. Overall I am pretty pleased with how I did, but I know I could have done better."
