New offers for Jacksonville WR

An in-state Atlantic Coast Conference program highlights the recently-extended scholarship offers for Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast wide receiver Avis Commack, one of several talented prospects in the Class of 2008 at the school.

"I've picked up offers from Miami (Fla.), South Florida and West Virginia (recently)," Commack said. "I was excited to get the offer from Miami. It came out of nowhere. I didn't even think that I could get an offer from a school like that. They got in contact with me and said they were going to offer, and then a couple of days later, it arrived in the mail. I just know it's a good school academics school. I know it's a good learning program down there."

Clint Hurtt is recruiting Commack for the Hurricanes.

The Canes, Bulls and Mountaineers join Georgia Tech, Illinois, South Carolina, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Maryland and Purdue in offering the 6-foot-4, 180-pounder.

He currently has four schools at the top of his list.
