Mattes enjoyed visiting NC State practice

Offensive tackle R.J. Mattes from Robinson High in Concord, N.C., has emerged as the top line prospect from the state of North Carolina in the 2008 class. Last Wednesday, Mattes was at NC State's practice, as first reported on The Wolfpacker's premium message board The Wolves' Den.

"Well they could some help on the line," Mattes told The Wolfpacker, "I'm not going to lie to you, but I got to talk with [Tom] O'Brien, got to go see the campus, the place where they live is really good. They got a laundry room and everything."

Mattes said that he and his parents were there from the start of practice until about 8 o'clock that evening. He was joined there by linebacker Terrell Manning and athlete C.J. Wilson, two other top prospects from the state of North Carolina. Mattes was impressed with how the practice for the Pack done.
