Johnson ready to lock down

After a freshmen season of being a leader on the special teams, Anthony Johnson now aims to lock down one of the cornerback spots for the Bulldogs. Johnson, a multi-sport athlete at Jackson Provine was named to the all-metro, all-state 4-A squads, and a wa member of the Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen coming out of high school.

Practicing like a deer in head lights could be what Johnson thought he was doing last year. He did not know how to approach practice and what type of mindset to have when he took the field every day.

"Last year, I used to come to practice and go through the motions. I really did not know how to practice. I was not doing what I was supposed to be doing. After the season my dad and I were talking, and he told me to do what I had to do. He told me to go out there and work hard, and if I am not going to do that, then I do not need to be out there.
