Plenty of stock in Stockemer

There is one thing for certain around the Cal football program: When you are blessed with size and speed, bring a strong work ethic, have an excellent pedigree, plus perform solid academically, the Bears will likely recruit you. It really doesn't matter what part of the country you may reside in, as Cal continues to raise their out-of-state recruiting success year after year. In 2008, Van Buren (Ark.) wide receiver Taylor Stockemer caught our attention quickly.

Stockemer, who stands 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, brings a lot to the table. He possesses a 4.1 GPA and recorded a 26 on the ACT, and is looking for a school that has a strong Engineering program. Athletically, Stockemer hauled in 43 passes for 839 yards (19.5 per catch) and 8 touchdowns - in just 8 games. He essentially doubled his sophomore effort, 20 catches for 396 yards (19.8 per catch) and 4 touchdowns. More impressive was the fact that as a junior, he played both ways. Stockemer also recorded 43 tackles and 4 pass deflections in 2006.
