Catching up with Cory Hogue
UCF's most experienced linebacker is Cory Hogue, who enters spring practice as the No. 1 strongside linebacker on the depth chart. Hogue, who will be a junior, had 50 tackles in 10 games last season. UCFSports.com caught up with the Naples native to get his thoughts on the beginning of spring football.
How does it feel to be getting spring practice underway?
"It's good getting back out there. I've been lifting and running in the offseason, but it's always good to get back out there on the field."
What's it like working with new defensive coordinator John Skladany?
"We like him a lot. He brings a lot of energy and he's a lot more positive. He fires us up."
Do you expect a lot of changes on defense?
"It will be a little bit different, a lot different terminology, but a lot of stuff will be the same."
