Spring workouts at Texas Tech are underway


Coming into the spring there was no doubt that Brandon Williams had a chance to come in and impress. After a solid rookie season on the field, expectations are extremely high. For Williams, that means possibly locking down on of the starting spots this fall.

"Yeah the coaches have really trying to get me to learn both end positions. I know and they know I have a chance to start this fall, and it all starts this spring. I have been working hard on everything to make sure that I get on the field as much as possible."

At the end of the first practice there is little doubt as to who will be on at least one side of the line. Williams turned in what could have been the best performance of the opening practice.

"I feel like I had a really good practice. Everything I was doing was working for me. No one could keep their hands on me."

While he surely has the raw skill to play at this level, there are a few things that he is doing physically to make sure he continues to progress. He even has been getting some advice from a former Red Raider standout.
