Bowman trying to emerge

As a high school senior, Jesse Bowman was part of talent rich Brookhaven team that won the 4-A State Championship his senior year. After not signing with State because of not making a qualifying score, Bowman spent two years at Co-Lin Community College. When it came time for Bowman to chose a school again, after a successful junior college stint, he spurned offers from in-state rival Ole Miss and national power Miami to play for Coach Croom and his Bulldogs.

Bowman had grade issues coming out of high school, which caused him to go the junior college route. Trying not to make the same mistake twice, he took care of his academics at Co-Lin and was able sign with State as a mid year transfer.
