Georgia WR headed to Clemson Saturday

Columbus, Ga. - Carver wide receiver Jarmon Fortson just finished a productive basketball season where his team tallied a 24-4 mark. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder contributed in the form of 12 points and seven rebounds per game.

But Fortson will spend the next few months checking out college campuses. Next stop - Clemson. The talented wideout plans to join teammate, quarterback Deron Furr in Clemson on Saturday for the Orange & White's first junior day event of the spring.

The Peach State athlete met with Tiger defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and wide receivers coach Greg Knox while also touring facilities and watching an Auburn scrimmage, as he told Editor Jeffrey Lee in a March 4 interview.

Clemson, along with Auburn and Georgia are the early frontrunners for Fortson. He also has an offer from Kentucky.
