BC legacy a factor for 2008 LB
It's far too early in the 2008 recruiting cycle for most juniors to start naming leaders. That's especially the case for a prospect like Roxbury (N.J.) linebacker Brendan Beal who already has fourteen offers from some of the nation's top programs. But when Boston College offered the 6-foot-4, 235-pound defender last Sunday they immediately became one of his most likely destinations. What makes the Eagles more likely then the football factories to land Beal?
"My dad, Craig Beal played linebacker at BC. My mom and my aunts went there too," said Beal.
"They were a little late in the recruiting process, so I was disappointed. Going to Boston College is a family tradition and I'm a fan of theirs.
