Lawrence enjoyed Ole Miss summer visit
One Florida high school prospect is use to playing both ways on the gridiron and earned all conference honors on both sides of the ball for his efforts.
Kathleen High School wide receiver and defensive back T.J. Lawrence earned all conference honors on both sides of the ball and earned all state honors as a talented wide out.
Currently the talented athlete has six official offers with Virginia Tech and two of his home state schools Florida and Florida State leading the way as his early favorites.
"I have offers from Ole Miss, Boise State, State, Arizona State, Virginia Tech and U Conn," Lawrence said. "I like the Ole Miss campus, it surprised me we drove for ever and didn't see much and then all of a sudden a huge campus."
Lawrence and his high school teammates participated in the Ole Miss seven on seven camp last summer; the talented athlete earned an offer shortly after his visit.
"The Ole Miss Coaches told my coach the next week they were going to offer," Lawrence said. "I really liked Ole Miss' facilities and its coaching staff; they were very cool and really love football."
Lawrence, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete that runs a 4.5 forty, caught 52 receptions as a junior for over 1,045 yards and 15 touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball he made 50 tackles, two sacks, 28 solo tackles and five interceptions. He led his Kathleen team to a 10-3 record.
Lawrence is preparing to take the ACT and SAT next month and currently has over a 2.5 G.P.A.
