Stockemer name a familiar one

In the 2007 recruiting class Baylor signed legacy recruits Chris Francis (son of James Francis), V.J. McElroy (son of Vann McElroy), and Matt Singletary (son of Mike Singletary).

In the 2008 class Baylor has ties to a couple of talented receivers. Brenham, Texas, athlete Lester Ward has already received interest from Baylor, while out-of-state prospect Taylor Stockemer of Van Buren, Ark., has emerged as another potential target.

The 6-4, 205-pound receiver, the son of former Baylor running back Ralph Stockemer, boasts 4.5 speed in the forty-yard dash, and runs the 400m and the 200m for the Van Buren track team. He recorded 839 yards and eight touchdowns on 43 receptions at receiver, and is regarded as one of the top 25 prospects in Arkansas by HawgSports.com and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Recruiting Analyst Otis Kirk.
