Miller makes it official

With excited family, friends, and coaches looking on, Columbine High School Athletic Director Ed Woytek gave the final direction, "O.K. guys go ahead and sign on the dotted lines."

And with that, Colorado's top in-state football recruit, Ryan Miller made his commitment to the University of Colorado official Wednesday and faxed his letter of intent to an eagerly awaiting Colorado coaching staff.

Fresh-off of a 5A high school state football championship, Miller highlights a 2007 class that marks the first full term for new head coach Dan Hawkins.

"It's a huge weight lifted off my shoulders," Miller said. "Hopefully my phone won't be ringing nearly as much."
