IU nabs athlete prospect out of Florida

It's getting to be crunch time in recruiting with signing day literally around the corner, and that means coaching staffs around the country won't hesitate to take chances on recruits and hand out scholarships to athlete-type prospects.

The Hoosiers have used their second-to-last scholarship to lock up that kind of a player, who they likely hope could pan out to be a real sleeper, in Tray Herndon - a two-star receiver out of Florida powerhouse The Bolles School.

"He committed to Indiana," Bolles coach Corky Rogers said.
