Eagle coaching duo visit QB Marve

Among the flurry of recruiting rumors around Chestnut Hill is Boston College's apparent interest in Tampa (Fla.) Plant quarterback Robert Marve. This amounted to more than just speculation as two Eagle coaches were in Florida Wednesday to visit the Alabama commit.

Eagle Action recently caught up with four-star signal caller's coach Robert Weiner, a BC alumnus, to gauge his pupil's interest in The Heights.

"Steve Logan and Don Yanowsky came into see him and extended an offer," said Weiner. "They talked to him in a very mature way and showed them everything on the table. I'm a BC grad so I think it was more out of respect for me.

Despite his ties to BC, Weiner was quick to assert Marve's commitment to Alabama. Florida's 47th rated player went to Tuscaloosa for his official on January 12th.
