Austin Monahan will arrive in the summer

Last February, there were a few surprises for those following the Vanderbilt 2006 football signing class. The surprises were not bad surprises like some schools encounter, but rather good ones, as two prospects, Joey Bailey and Austin Monahan, signed national letters of intent with the rest of the known commitments on national signing day.

At the time, both Bailey and Monahan were thought to be grayshirt candidates enrolling in the spring of 2007. However, Trussville (Ala.) offensive lineman Bailey enrolled with the rest of the class in the fall after an unexpected roster opening.
