Bowl Notebook: Stewart a quiet contributor

Junior RB Carl Stewart has quietly been a big asset to the Auburn offense all season. He hasn't put up big numbers, but most fullbacks don't.

Stewart has managed to compile 327 total yards and a trio of touchdowns despite getting just over three touches per game.

Against Nebraska, the number of opportunities could increase.

With sophomore running back Brad Lester suspended for the bowl game, Stewart may see some time at tailback, which in turn could equal more carries, more touches.

However, he's not viewing a close friend's suspension as opportunity. He'd much rather be blocking for Lester than stepping in for him.
