Example of sacrificing for the team

Entering his senior season, Chris Jackson was on the verge of being the best two-way kicker in LSU history.

Jackson, who also was a state-championship winning quarterback at John Curtis in high school, began the 2006 campaign fifth in punting average at 40.8 and seventh in field goals with 26 among Tigers kickers.

It was time for Jackson to show his talents in order to earn a spot on a NFL roster in the future.

However, the current year has been nothing but a period of self-sacrifice for Jackson. Although keeping kickoff duties, Jackson gave up the entire place-kicking job to Colt David.
