Nashville's Mason emerges

After flying under the recruiting radar for the majority of the process, Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn wide receiver Rashad Mason has emerged as a legitimate Division I-A prospect.

All of a sudden, the 6-foot-6, 215-pounder holds scholarship offers from a number of programs around country.

"I've gotten offers from UCLA, Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky, Arkansas and Ole Miss," Mason said. "This has all happened recently, just in the last two weeks. I really wasn't getting any attention during the season. My coach was telling me it was going to happen and it did."

Mason currently has two official visits set up.
