Stocco ready to lead Badgers one last time
The atmosphere surrounding the University of Wisconsin football team's practice Saturday morning could easily be described as relaxed by those in attendance.
Relaxed were the seniors, scattered across the field in street clothes, who were excused from practice by head coach Bret Bielema.
Relaxed and upbeat appeared the rest of the team, who participated in the hour-long practice in helmets and shoulder pads.
And finally, relaxed was senior quarterback John Stocco, who in sweatpants and a winter hat, threw cautiously from about 20 yards away as he waited for practice to begin at the McClain Athletic Facility.
If anything, the sight of Stocco throwing after missing UW's last two contests with a shoulder and rib injuries was encouraging, for both the coaching staff and himself.
