Levy: 'I Think I've Still Got A Little Left In Me'

It's getting to be that time of year when legends are made and if there was a year where a Cal player was going to etch a performance into the minds of all the Bear faithful for eternity, this is that year.

With that in mind I sat down with last year's legend, quarterback Steve Levy, to talk about the rest of the season and beyond.

As much as no one suspects that Levy will get another chance behind center this year, stranger things have happened. His path to the starting job last year was just as unlikely. You could tell from his attitude that he knew anything could happen.

"I take every game as a huge game," said the 6-1, 226-pound senior. "And I prepare myself just like I would do if I was starting so that if I did get in the game I'd be prepared to get in and not make a fool out of myself and put myself in a good position to win the football game."

You also got the sense that he knew that if Nate Longshore were to get injured he'd have just as much of a shot at the starting job as Joe Ayoob, who is currently listed as 2nd on the depth chart.
