North Carolina lineman takes first trip
Quinn Barham made a verbal commitment to Penn State back in August, but the 6-foot-3, 275-pound offensive lineman from Durham (N.C.) Hillside took his first official visit to Colorado.
Barham was in Boulder this weekend. His player host was freshman offensive lineman Quintin Borders.
"I went up there just for a little, nice visit," he said of his trip to the Rocky Mountain region. "I just wanted to see what Colorado is like. It was nice but I'm sticking with my commitment to Penn State."
Barham plans to visit Penn State in mid-October.
"I plan on visiting there for the Michigan game," he said. "It's looking like that will be an unofficial visit but I don't know for sure yet. There is still a chance it could be my official visit."
What sold him on the Nittany Lions?
"First was just the reputation of the school and the football program," "It's an excellent University and I want to play for a coach like Joe Paterno."
Barham also continues to keep in phone contact with Louisville and Cincinnati.
