South Florida players face trouble

There is a chance that South Florida may be without the services of three projected starters when the Bulls travel to Lawrence in week four.

Running back Ricky Patton, defensive end Josh Julmiste, and wide receiver Jackie Chambers have been suspended but have appealed. They are expected to miss two games for sure and possibly six.

Neither head coach Jim Leavitt or members of the South Florida athletic department have commented on the matter.

Receiver group can't afford losses

The fact Chambers is one of the players suspended doesn't bode well for the receivers. Although the receivers are said to be deep, they are taking some big hits. Johnny Peyton who was fourth on the team in receiving yards is gone from the team. Chambers was the third leading receiver for the Bulls last year and led the Big East in punt returns.
