A Philly guard makes two

Coach Jamie Dixon and his staff came into the recruiting season armed with five scholarships to pass out. Yesterday the coaching staff received a verbal commitment from Philadelphia Roman Catholic guard Bradley Wanamaker. Last month the Pitt coaching staff landed swingman Darnell Dodson (6' 7") out of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in the Washington, DC area.

Pitt returns most of its players this season and is expected to be ranked in the Top 10 in the country when they open the season. They will graduate four seniors so this will be an important recruiting class. Pitt is scheduled to have center Gary McGhee (6' 10") visit Labor Day weekend. This will be the senior year for starters Aaron Gray (7' 0") and Levon Kendall (6' 9"). Bring in a big man will now be a priority with Wanamaker and Dodson on board.
