Benn visits Maryland

Washington (D.C.) Dunbar wide receiver Arrelious Benn swung by Maryland practice last weekend to check out the Terps and their young quarterbacks. Did the visit do anything to increase Maryland's chances with the No. 2 wideout in the country?

"I hung out for awhile and saw the first part of practice," said the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder. "I got to see Josh Portis throw a bit. I had also seen him throw during a 7-on-7 before and he's good. I won't get to see him play this season because he's not eligible so I want to see him in practice at least."

Benn didn't get a chance to see former Rivals100 quarterback Jeremy Ricker, who is currently a freshman at Maryland.
