Trautwein trying to silence his No. 1 critic
Phil Trautwein heard the negative questions last spring when he lined up as Florida's starting left offensive tackle.
Who were the Gators kidding by putting an unproven, unheralded player at the most important position up front? How much time would he need to prove he couldn't do the job? Couldn't the line coaches find someone else?
The worst part? The words weren't coming from fans. They were coming from head coach Urban Meyer.
"That's coach Meyer's philosophy - call people out and get them to work harder," Trautwein said.
