Reier's Review: Wednesday Quick Hits

*The Crimson Tide caught a break this afternoon as thunderstorms in the area yielded overcast skies for much of the workout. Alabama got through the practice without being forced into the indoor facility. The temperature was around 93 degrees on the field at the start of the workout, but cloud cover and a slight breeze made for ideal conditions (at least from a players and media standpoint).

*The punt team got their first real work as a unit at the start of practice. P.J. Fitzgerald was the best of a group of punters that included Heath Thomas and Adam Hill. The drill focused on the punt team, but it was worth noting that freshman Javier Arenas was by himself back deep catching punts. He fielded the first four kicks cleanly before muffing his final chance.
