Williams ready to go

Who is and who is not qualified in LSU's 2006 freshmen class is becoming much clearer as the first day of fall camp is exactly one week from Monday. A handful of Tiger signees had academic question marks going into the summer and that included prized running back Keiland Williams.

"I got to report to camp on the fifth," Williams said. "Everything is cleared. I just spoke with Coach Porter.

"I had gotten my test score in December and then it got red flagged, so I had to take it again. The test that got red flagged was a 1060 and then I took it again and made a 1020 and they were just waiting for the clearinghouse to validate it and they did."

He added that that validation arrived last week.

Williams (6-0, 220, 4.35) a Rivals.com five-star product finished his year at Hargrave with 1,325 yards on 160 rushing attempts and 12 touchdowns.
