Lemmens has a leader

When you practice and play with the likes of Jimmy Clausen and Marc Tyler, it's hard to go camping and be impressed with the talent surrounding you on the field. However, Westlake Village, Calif., Oaks Christian defensive end Duke Lemmens walked away in awe of the amount of top rated prospects he encountered at the Gators recent camp. On the other hand, many of them were probably in awe of him after the performance he turned in.

The California native made his second trip to the University of Florida.

He gave his impressions of Friday Night Lights.

"It was awesome. It was one of those nights where you couldn't help but to have a great time."

Lemmens, who plays on a team featuring two five-star prospects, was still in awe of the amount of talent on the field in the Swamp.

"Just standing in here reading the name tags of the players I read about all the time was neat," said Lemmens. "Defensive line wise, it was cool meeting D'Angelo (McCray). For his size he can really move. Another person I met is Ben Martin. We actually exchanged phone numbers and we've talked every day since then, he's a real good guy. We're going to set up our official visit to Florida for the same weekend."
