Bruin changes make bright future

With the beginning of pre-season camp less than a month away let's take one more look at the team going into camp. This will be a multiple series. We are going to start with the defense. It was well documented the shortcomings of this unit a year ago, but the way the unit played this past spring gave reason for optimism. Look for defense to be much improved.


BruinBlitz.com will attempt to break it down by position. Let's open with an overview of the defense. The reason for is UCLA could end up having the most improved defense in college football.


Many are probably thinking how on earth can BruinBlitz.com write such an outlandish statement? Many are perhaps thinking the hot California sun has fried the last brain cell and are suffering from heat stroke.


Reason number one the Bruins will be an improved defense is Coach Karl Dorrell made the tough call and let go the entire staff defensive staff but two, they were Gary DeLoach and Brian Schneider.
