Ambrose looking forward to Tech camp
Georgia Tech is hosting another one-day camp on Saturday and one of the players in attendance will be DeMario Ambrose, a three-star defensive end out of Davidson High School in Mobile, Ala. Ambrose, who is 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds, has already been offered by Tech and he's very much looking forward to his first visit to the campus.
"That will be my first time going to Georgia Tech," Ambrose said. "I'm really excited about going. I already went to the Alabama camp, but I wasn't able to participate because of my shoulder that I'm still rehabbing. I talked to Coach (Giff) Smith from Georgia Tech, he's the d-line coach, and he's going to tell them I can't do anything that uses your arms, but I can still run the 40 and stuff like that. I'm also going to Auburn on Friday to meet the coaches."
Ambrose said he had shoulder surgery before spring practice and it should be 100 percent by the beginning of his senior season.
"I've also gotten some more offers," Ambrose said. "I got offers from West Virginia and Purdue. When I go up to Auburn I might get an offer, but I'm not sure. Alabama wants to see my first two games and then I think I might end up getting an offer."
