Tucker shines on first day of ABCD

Despite being ranked among the top 10 shooting guards in the nation by Rivals.com, Michigan native Darquavis Tucker felt he had something to prove at the 2006 ABCD Camp in Teaneck, N.J.

Thursday was the first day the camp was open to the public, the media and college coaches, and Tucker came up big with Coach Rick Pitino and assistant Steve Masiello watching. Because each team is so loaded with talent, most players only play half games during the pool play of the camp so stats from each game should be doubled for a better perspective of a player's potential ability.

In his first game, Tucker scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while going 4-10 from the field. Tucker missed both of his three-point attempts, but had a make called off after a three-second call below the basket.
