State's top WR a surprise visitor to FSU's Camp
Through the first couple days of Florida State's Football Camp, there have been very few rising senior prospects that are high on FSU's recruiting radar. That will change in a big way Friday morning when five-star wide receiver Deonte Thompson steps on the practice field.
The blue chip wideout surprised everybody when he arrived in Tallahassee on Wednesday with a few of his Glades Central teammates. So far, he's only been a spectator at the camp and has been hanging out with friends from back home that live in Tallahassee. He also spent some time working out with friends at Florida A&M and checking out FSU's campus.
"We came up to get in a little work and there are some guys from back home up here that go to school up here," Thompson told Warchant.com. "So we just came up here to work out with them for a little while."
The Rivals100 member plans to take part in some of the camp activities including the 1-on-1 on passing drills starting Friday morning.
