West Monroe's Davis has new top-five

West Monroe four-star defensive end Luther Davis has been working two-jobs this summer along with his daily weightlifting and conditioning assignments with his Rebel teammates but that has not stopped him from looking at some universities this summer.

Davis recently took an unofficial visit to Alabama to see what the Crimson Tide program had to offer.

"It was pretty good. I am not going to knock them but it's not anything I'm looking for," Davis said. "Overall it's a pretty good school."

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound lineman runs a 4.78 (hand timed) in the 40-yard dash. He was named honorable mention All-State in Class 5A after finishing his junior season with 88 tackles, 8 sacks, 1 interception, 5 pass breakups and 3 fumble recoveries.
