Cathey still sitting on one

Memphis (Tenn.) Ridgeway weakside DE Dasmine Cathey is biding his time until the football season starts, working both on his game and on his academics. While he is still sitting on one offer, several other schools have been in contact and he will take a few trips this summer to show his skills. Who is still in the mix and what is doing to get ready for the fall?

"I haven't really been doing anything but just lifting weights and going to summer school right now," he said. "I am working on my speed and strength and working on little moves I can put on people. I just jump on my parachute and go through training runs."

Cathey has increased his weight from 194 pounds in March to 210 pounds now, and at 6-foot-3, he still runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds. He is also trying to get ahead in the classroom.

"I am working on French II, so I wouldn't have to do it in high school, because the teacher in high school, she ain't that too much easy," he explained. "So I am just taking that during summer school."
