Tate talks recruiting

Tennessee athlete Golden Tate is one of the South's most coveted two-way players with most college coaches projecting him at running back, wide receiver or defensive back. In addition Tate, 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, is also expecting to play baseball in college. He currently has six favorites in the lead for his services.

"Everything is going good for me. I haven't picked up any new offers but I'm good with that. I'm just getting ready for my senior year and I'm going to make my reputation then. I want to go out with a big season and I'm getting ready to do that," Tate said. "With recruiting I like Alabama, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Florida and Vanderbilt the most. They have all said that I can play both sports and they all like me on offense.

"Bama, South Carolina and Vanderbilt have offered and the other three are recruiting me hard. It doesn't matter to me who has or hasn't offered because I've got a whole season to play before I have to commit. All of the teams are pretty much even right now. I'm taking recruiting one-day at a time and not putting too much thought into it."
