2007 C&G Top 30

Year in and year out California produces hundreds of division-one college football players.


This year is an especially strong year for quarterbacks and offensive linemen, as the Golden State boasts six players at those positions among the nation's top 250 recruits.


Continuing an annual tradition, USCFootball.com ranks the best players in California in our Cardinal and Gold (C&G) Top 30.


It's a great year nationally for quarterbacks, which usually means it's a great year for quarterbacks in California. Four signal-callers make the Pre-season C&G Top 30, with only one not rated as a four-star recruit or higher. That quarterback is Samson Szakacsy, who verbally committed to USC in May. While Szakacsy is not currently rated nationally, he does enter the C&G Top 30 as the state's third best passer.
