Jones enjoyed Tech camp

One of the high-profile attendees at Georgia Tech's camp last weekend was running back Roddy Jones of Chamblee High School near Atlanta.


Jones, who received his first offer from Tech several months ago, says he had a great time working out with the Yellow Jackets coaches and competing against other prospects.


"It went great," Jones said. "I had a lot of fun working with the coaches there and seeing the coaches in action. It was a lot of fun."


Jones estimated there were around 150 other players in attendance.


"(Chamblee teammates) Nicolai Schwarzkopf and Chris Parks went with me," Jones said. "I knew guys like Jon Dwyer and Kyle Jackson going into it. I knew a few other guys I had seen at other places."
