Rivals100 d-tackle excels at Auburn camp
One of the most dominant prospects at Auburn's senior camp this weekend was Hoover (Ala.) defensive tackle Kerry Murphy. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder didn't run the best 40-yard dash and shuttle times but showed why he is one of the state's top prospects for 2007 during position and 1-on-1 drills.
Murphy displayed good quickness and speed and consistently beat his opponent in pass rushing drills.
"I didn't expect Auburn's camp to be this intense and exciting," said Murphy. "I enjoyed it a lot. I think I did pretty good."
Murphy had the opportunity to work under Auburn defensive line assistants Terry Price and Don Dunn.
