Bryan seeing his stock rise among recruiters

Wide receiver Steven Howard grabbed the most headlines when he committed to NC State, but after the performance of defensive back Chris Culliver at the NIKE Camp in Clemson, Howard may have been surpassed as the most highly regarded prospect thus far in the Pack's recruiting class.

But if tight end George Bryan continues to pull in offers, he could pass both of them.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder from New Hanover High in Wilmington committed to NC State April 10, becoming the Pack's first commitment. At that point he had verbal offers as well from UNC, South Carolina and East Carolina.

"All three of those have officially offered me now," Bryan said. "Clemson was the latest to offer me. I was real excited about that. It was a bit of a surprise. They said they were real short on tight ends, and they liked how big I was and that I could run."
