McNeil adds offers; AU coaches visit again
Mobile, Ala., Davidson safety Michael McNeil is quickly becoming one of the South's hottest prospects.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder picked up four more scholarship offers this week bringing his total to 13.
The latest schools to jump on board with offers are South Carolina, Clemson N.C. State and Memphis. McNeil already held offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Louisville, South Florida and UAB.
South Carolina assistant coach Ron Cooper saw McNeil at practice this week.
"Coach Cooper watched us scrimmage," said McNeil. "He told my granddad that he was real impressed. My granddad played on the same (NFL) team as coach Spurrier. He told my grandfather that I had a full offer and him and coach Spurrier were going to call me next week, most likely Monday."
